Yep, another whine-post.
But really, I just rage-logged 2nd time today due to no (Active) HC online and due to massive bugs in game being catastrophic for underpopped side....
HC is one thing, thats not good but then again those ppl are working for "free" and all that,

But with these bugs makin it much easier for overpopped side.. I don't know how many times this camp i've been in a tank engaging other tank.
No matter how much ap/he/aphe/kettles/foodrations/usedtires/helmets I slam into side/bottom/top/rear/front of enemytanks, they just keep driving and in most cases fire.
Was a long time since I actually saw an et explode. Then after a while the et kills y or just dissapears (prolly due to damage or KIA). 
Last time today was in Carignan. A 232 stormed into town and I fired about 10 rounds from my sherm in its side. It just kept on driving, not even a scratch. Then just disappeared. That moment of disbelief from me made an 4g move in from further away, and oneshotkill me.
If yr underpopped and that 232 had to go since it would protect their spwn, not killing it directly (as it should be from a sherm) made the 4g kill me and then go further down to the town.
I knew the 4g was there, and if I killed the 232 at once I would have a good chance at getting the 4g.
This was lowpop like nothing else but 2 other inf inf town. Nothing else was protecting against that 232.
Happens over and over again, at least in tank-game. Something doesnt die as it should, y get instawhacked by schreck/pak/et.

Holy moses, what a load of uncomprehensive text.... but Im gonna leave it here.

One frustrated player.

And yes I know it prolly goes both ways., but it seriously is takin the fun outta game atm...
Is it something with the new code or what?

The HC issue is being remedied, but will take a bit of time to ensure that by removing the flags, nothing else breaks.

 

As for the exploding tanks - it's been a few days since I last played, but they were turret popping with no issue when I last was in game.  The 232 I've found is best to use HE on or hit from the front with AP.  This is due to the damage model having so much empty space where nothing critical (crew, ammo, fuel) was modeled.  What happens is that the AP will pass through the vehicle without hitting anythign vital and appear as a miss........  HE penetrates the first side then detonates before the round travels through the other.

Yep well i know that about 232s, so I used HE and then some AP to see if things changed. Engine, wheels, center = no effect.

The "No HC Online" problem is coming to an end soon with the removal of ToEs and (I hope,) some method of player voted AOs when nobody is on the direct the action, or in the LEAST, (and I'd gladly volunteer for it,) reserve officers will start joining again and we'll have better action.

 

As for you not being able to blow up Axis tanks... 

You're gonna need to learn where to hit them to get those kills. (Hint: It's the same spot in every Axis tank until the Tiger comes in!)

You can sneeze at a 4G's turret and it blows up. Even with the DAC. 

Go play on the practice server with a friend and figure it out. You're not that good yet, but you will be.

AP goes right through a 232 if you don't hit any critical parts. How do you know you didnt kill the gunner and they just despawned.

Just because something doesnt blow up doesnt mean its not rendered useless.

Xcas is a mental case, pay no attention to him...LOL

I still get loads of kills. I usually end up at around top 20-25 tankers in game, so I know how to handle ets.
The thing that changed for me is that I DON'T know if i killed the et or not, unless I despwn and look at AAR. I used to get visual damage, earlier. Now I get nothing at all usually, especially long range. This has, as I tried to explain, causing me to get wacked to kingdome come because I still concentrate on an already outtabattletank instead of engaging the other ets around. This is making me kinda pissed at occasions. And no, I don't buy the "sneeze on 4gs turret" thing, That goes both ways, Good tankers know good spots.
I will of course keep on gaming and be target for axis, but just wondering if others experiencing the same thing. And if so, is anything being done about it?

If you don't buy the "sneeze on 4gs turret" thing.. try ten sorties in a row with one.

 

 

That's another story for a different day though. :)

 

I haven't noticed a difference in explosions v just disabled tanks lately, and it's always been a crap shoot if they don't explode. 

Hey, just last night someone tried, (miserably, I might add,) to zook me in a 4G, and only hit my engine. It was out of commission, but all crew were alive and unharmed.

(Seriously, people.. learn how to kill tank crews with shot placement!)

This guy lobbed three rockets at me before a squaddie shot him for me.

 

I sat there immobile, shooting at hurricanes for 5 min before despawning.

I hit esc and BOOM!

 

blew up!

 

I've tanked a lot, and unless the tanks stop shooting at you... and STAY not shooting at you, you had better assume they are going to kill you.

 

I have been hit and let a tank think I was disabled while they switched targets and then killed them.

 

It's called playing possum lol.

I think back in the day we used to be able to see penetration holes. Can't remember when/why they removed it.

Busar  it goes both ways. I shrecked a Daimler from the front he had his viewport window open , gunner was dead from a Tiger . Guess what after my Shrek hit he pulled right and drove off. Odd ain't it?

Now I have not seen any entry holes either for the longest time. I would love to see rounds bounce off that would be a nice feature.

What pisses me off more are ATG that u nail over and over and you think they are dead just to pay attention to another target and he opens up again on you. 

A visual dmg model for ATG would be nice. 

Yes sometimes not knowing if the Tank is dead or not is frustrating. Just to be taken out by another of his friends,  cause you were not 100% sure and did not leave the target.
