Game server maintenance notice!

Today between 3:30PM-4PM the Campaign server is coming offline. Additional power is being installed to run more (newer) servers. The sis part of our Steam preparations.

Sorry for the short notice, lots of schedule juggling. Estimate down time is at 3 hours'ish, barring no major roadblocks. We'll keep you posted.

Thanks for your understanding, as we work towards bringing you a better game experience. Salute!

since Allied  was in the process of capturing a town, we had just capped ab and kicked axis out, why wasn't this put off to 4 oclock like it says

We have our providers Engineers and Hatch on-site now and had to move accordingly. It has taken a lot of coordination to get to this point and it's been a very hard time line up the schedules perfectly. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This is great news.... now mb it will allow me to log in :0. I'm about needing to reinstall my OS to see if that fixes the issue.

Good news! We beat our estimate, by quite a lot.

The Campaign server may now be entered. S!

Will the new server mean better connection performance for players?

We simply powered on new servers that were unable to be powered on due to a lack of power availability. Now that we have those online, these particular servers will become the future home of the live campaign. The technology supporting them are vastly better, that means greater reliability and performance.

The "connection" performance will be impacted once our new 1Gb of bandwidth has been achieved which is coming very soon. In fact I just got off the phone with them today again to verify our order is in progress. That's currently 10x the bandwidth we have, which means we'll reduce any potential bottleneck in our network as we approach Steam.

Our INTERNAL communication speeds are already at Gigabit, when they were before capped at 100 Megabits. So, we're seeing what used to take us several hours worth of data transfer being consolidated into minutes. In that respect, we have already achieved 10x the internal communication speed.

As we add on additional cell hosts to maintain a much larger concurrent user base, the foundation is being laid to support that, and some of it as mentioned above is already in place.

Progress man, slow and steady, but some major heavy lifting is taking place right now that is absolutely stunning and has been desperately needed for YEARS.

WOOT!
