Idea for intermission for situation that never happens in game

Amphibious invasion across the channel. It could be flipped to either invade France or England. The situation would be that the war has come to a point where the side being invaded has had it's navy and airforce ground to dust. The side being invaded would have no navy and no bombers, just a small amount of fighters(to keep the air guys happy) that have no bombs. This would allow the invading navy to cross the channel and land. It would be nice to give it a try and use the navy in amphibious operations that have a chance to succeed. I think it's worth a try, just for an intermission.

It doesn't happen in game often because it's an extremely tedious slog to load up a transport and then sail across the channel. Obviously in live play it's also ridiculously dangerous thing that can only really be pulled off in unbalanced low-pop scenarios.

Either way, it's not as fun as you're imagining.

I think a netter option would be 2 towns opposite of each other with a body of water inbetween . No destroyers and have the FMBs go at each other. Open up 2 AF close to that too so the fly boys can have some fun too , and the ground pounders can either try out their sea legs or pound away with ATG at boats or with AAA at those pesky flies buzzing about.

Surely the easiest thing would be to set up divisions facing one another in areas of the map not usually seen in campaign maps - far south east, far south west, far north
