In cases of significant underpop, reduce the contested-to-ABs-hot timer

For the underpop AO

 

Much more likely to pull defenders and makes any low pop AO much more viable/useful 

 

the current 10 minute timer easily allows any single cap to be cleaned up with minimum fuss.

Not a bad idea. It would allow ABs to be threatened a lot earlier by the underpop side. It may force the overpop side to put up a real defense and pull some people off the attack.

This is actually a very good idea. The cap timer shortening does help, but then progress comes to a complete halt when you have 4/5 guys trying to hold a town until the AB is hot.

I know it is! I've been raising this for years but never got traction

 

The key reason underpop AOs have so little currency is because it's very difficult to make a genuine imprint. Changing this timer changes that
