What if basic players (8$) received only a single side access when subscribing and were locked to that side.

Only premium accounts can access both sides.

according to global subscription stats, offer aimed discounts (ex promo -50% for 3 months for the less populated side)

thoughts of possible consequences?

To be successful it needs a lot of people over all time zones, indeed. It should have been tried with f2p of steam from the beginning.

need to know the stats of side switchers  to evaluate such an Idea. I have known many players who never switched for many years.

New player acquisition relies on showing them everything they have access to, 'wow'ing them. They also don't have a great idea yet on what they might actually want to do, so providing them options gives them the best idea.

Locking them to a side is directly antithetical to that marketing strategy, and would be seen as arbitrarily locking away content to milk the consumer's money (which new players, esp. Steam players, already accuse CRS of doing as-is; it'd just be worse under this policy).
