Fallbacks

5 posts in this topic

Yesterday in Havelange the Axis were down to the AB and did a fallback to Nandrin.  This gave the AB to the Allies and ended their AO.

What shoud have happened was the Axis units in Havelange should have moved to Nandrin, without giving up the AB and ending the Allied AO, allowed the Axis to counter attach from the Nandrin FB and break the Allied camp around the AB.

The .overrun and .fallback commands are useless.  We (Axis) would have been better off just moving the units to Nandrin and continue the fight from the Nandrin FB.

The overrun, fallback and haac commands could’ve been remodelled a few years back

*** This gave the AB to the Allies and ended their AO.

That means the town was down to just the AB.  Working as intended.

If the fallback and been given prior to losing all the CPs, then the AB would be lost, flags moved, and the fight could continue.

A fallback will hand the AB over to the enemy but you would retain the CPs.. I remember when we used to use that to regain supply quickly. Always wanted to hold your own spawnable CPs..

Correct the point of the fallback is to still own the spawn cp, because if you retake the bunker after the fall back that will.end the AO.
