Its been great reading about you all.
I am Five

My real name is Mike Lynch, a Retired Machinist, 65 years, living in Northern Arizona with my wife of 30 years, 1 Daughter, 4 Grandkids and a Cat version 8.0 I think.

Been with WWII Online since December of 2000. Came with a bunch from Warbirds looking to build something better. Its been 18 years of fun and some great people.
I am proof positive this game makes you old, I was 48 when I came, I am 65 now. Just saying.

Served in the US Army with the First Cavalry Division as a helicopter crew chief, lost my aircraft and was wounded in the battle of An Loc in Vietnam, June 1972.
My unit in the First Cav carried the First and Second Cavalry guys. First action was La Drang in 66 last action was An Loc in 72.

Me in 1972 and me on the left in 2003 at a reunion. There is an aircraft I crewed at Brevard Veterans Memorial Museum in Florida, if your ever there.

This thread killed my imagination of bar as a 16yo internet-demi-god.

But anyways, my name is Jose Santos, I am 43yo and I am a data engineer.

Here is a photo of me eating chocolate, probably after an allied loss:

Literally spit out my drink laughing. I started as a 16 year old demi god and have had to apply q lot of effort into maintaining my persona.

PS: I am the best player who ever lived.

Great participation here. Thanks all

Hmm I was going to ask if you had met Captain Sam Bird, but he was severely wounded in 1967 in a 1st Cav tactical experiment and would have been long gone before your service.

CHIMM

GREAT thread @bar !

Brian is my real name. Born and raised in central California, and first generation in the USA (family from Rethymno Crete, Greece).

I'm 47 and on my second marriage. Life has blessed me with  2 crazy kids (whom I blame for the grey hairs mind you), and 2 stepchildren.   Family is my life.a70be4bd83ca6f136a7c5810a25fbfae.jpg

I have a Landscape Construction business, and have worked in the industry since I was 12 (slave labor for the family business when I was young ) I'm mostly at my desk these days,  designing and bidding as the crews get the work done.

Fun Fact?  I was working at a client's back yard in 2004, turned out to be a year one player of WWII Online. Yup, he suckered me in and I've been playing ever since. We had a small "meet-n-greet" last year, Damill attended

WWII Online is the only game I've played.

Hi sz! Very Nice to still read from you 15 years later!

I see some of you have development skills. Could be worth a try to have a look at open volunteer positions :

Formerly 'Eberbach' (Changed to firebugs after a year or two of satellite internet and packet loss that caused continual fire bugs), I'm Miles.  Started playing in 2001 or 2002 on my dad's account, then my own.  We had played Air Warrior 3 together along with my cousin until EA crashed that party.  Got to be part of Jg53 in its hay day-- lots of good times.

I'll be 28 here soon.  Stayed single so far.  Grew up playing the game through middle and high school.  I enlisted in 2009 in the USMC.  Did a ceremonial stint in DC in support of Potus/Vpotus, then was in 1/4 Alpha Co. for a boat trip around the Pacific.  Got out in 2014 and have one more year for my bachelor's in mechanical engineering.  Like to shoot long range, collect old rifles, and [censored] around with my '68 baja bug.

S! Mate

Yeah I stay around - scared of what will happen if the game goes away, and all those fantastic people I have met here

Don't think I have time/CRS backing to do front end stuff for the game though :-D

Paddyo

Pat (PADDYO)

I started following the game a couple years before it launched (anyone remember the orange pages?)

Started playing on day one of the mac launch and switched to a pc shortly after that.

I'm 65 yrs old now.

Spent most of my working life as a newspaper cartoonist and spend most of my retired life pretty much doing the same thing.

Play Axis exclusively unless I start to feel sorry for the Allies where my two brothers play exclusively.
