always right to try different things to get new customers.  the magic letters 'dlc'  fit right into what steam players are used to.

Lookig forward to it. Finally I can just purchase a rather cheap but allmost full Tier0 access to play my favorite part of the game and leave for the unbalanced later tiers. Would be nice if you send out notifications emails everytime a new campaign starts.

As most Axis pilots switched to flying the 109E1 from tier 0 to tier 3 I am wondering how this will impact their subsciptions.

Hope no one will leave his premium subscription for a DLC package :(

A step in the right direction. It could use some refinement in unit choice and pricing, but that can be built upon once its own success is measured directly through the Steam numbers. Important question: do those purchasing the DLC have immediate access to the units paid for?

Rank wise, they will have immediate access to the purchased weapon pack but it will still be subject to supply availability at each facility

There are no benifits to downgrading from Premium to DLC.

You lose out on the best toys, amongst other things.

If you fly LW a lot, you'll see many veterans bringing the 109E1 on purpose even in later tiers, because the other 109 variants don't offer very much over it. Especially with the broken in game performance of HE cannons, the 109E1 has equal or greater destructive potential than all other 109 variants except the G6.

So flying the plane you would take anyways while saving 15$ a month sounds like a quite significant benefit to me.

I have to say I am not such a fan of the E1, as it is not very good at energy fighting.

It isn' just a boat, but you can rent one for that price.

What im saying is, that if we made a naval DLC, it would only have one boat in it... That people would use :)    Since FMB is included in the basic game package

Top tiers are Always reserved for Premium subscriptions, and wouldnt be part of the DLC

Hmmm. I'll have to crunch numbers and decide if paying the monthly Premium sub for a bunch of crap I never play is still worth it when I rarely play now anyway.

Base game for $4.99, plus a few one-time charges for the things I play most. Sounds like a money saver for me... if I decide to stick around.

But, if I pay for a light armored vehicle and they're always unavailable because some nooblet wasted them all in 10 minutes. I'd be one upset owner of a useless investment.

That's possible no matter what sub type you have.
ALL equipment is subject to supply availability

I dont know if it will be a a success,  dont know if it will attract new players. I really hope it will.

But I do know one thing: At least things are moving up and CRS 2.0 is brainstorming with new ideas and different approaches for our game. This new Steam approach seems more consistent and modern, closer to the actual gaming concepts. I know steam very well, lots of EAs with their devs MIA, EAs in alpha stage since 2012... And the rats still holding the frontline.

true! And we are here just to give the most constructive of all the critics to accompany this process!

I really like the idea.  Other than it being a little confusing at first, it does seem to offer a lot of options for folks not looking to sub.  Hey Rats, every consider in game purchases for benign objects?

If it's not listed, you don't get it with that pack.

In order to maintain the value of subscriptions, and to guarantee that CRS keeps receiving recurring income, DLC/one-time purchase options for everything in the game will never be made available.

The current DLC that will be offered are Tier 0 supply that will be available regardless of rank if you own the DLC (but NOT regardless of supply), and will be available throughout a campaign.

High tier units and some specialist units such as snipers will continue to be subscription only.
