WTF is the factory win rule for ALLIES???

15 posts in this topic

total confusion on allied side last night in push for Koln - with Essen (4 factories) and Dusseldorf (2 factories) already capped: no one really knew, or was sure, or convinced that capping all of KOLN (with 2 factories for a total of 3 factory towns but only 8 factories) would end the campaign.

SO: which is it actually for factory campaign victory:

  • 3 Factory Towns no matter the total of factories OR
  • 9 Factories owned  and
  • if 9 factories owned do the factory towns need to be fully owned or just the 9 factory facilities themselves, no matter who owns the town(s)?
  • For ALLIES; if 9 factories owned (plus towns?) is the rule, then Allied need all 4 of Essen, Dusseldorf, Koln and Frankfurt? Yes?

Pretty sure rule was changed, own and control any 3 enemy factory towns and you win.

I do seem to recall a change of some sort recently, but I can't put my finger on it.  The last I knew, victory conditions were as follows:

  • 95% (or whatever number it is) of town ownership
    • This is irrespective of factory ownership
  • 9 enemy factories owned
    • The towns that contain the factories must be fully owned
    • For the Allies, this means they must capture and hold Essen, Frankfurt, Koln, and Dusseldorf simultaneously

 1) Capture 9 of your enemies Production Facilities and own the town they reside in. -or- 2) Own 95% of all the towns and cities in the game world

What if we send a c47 with paras to frankfurt, dismantle Axis Factory #9 and move it back to Koln, which we own, and reassemble it there?

Perhaps the Axis should have 12 factories .. 4 towns 3 each . game over when 3 of 4 are capped.

Simple enough ... strange the northern route to factory towns still requires frankfurt. Anyhow .......this could still get interesting as equipment balance shifts. Will see how many fair whether fans come back once they are confident that they can preserve their K/D ratio and move map.

Perhaps we should move one of the Allied factories to the southwest coast. Even things out a bit, and there would actually be a reason to attack those towns.

You're going to need a bigger c47
