Ping and FPS Problems

Every time I enter into a mission that has a lot of activity in the towns objective such as a major battle, my frame rates and ping go insane. My fps usually hangs out in the 20's and 30's but since the 64 bit was put in whenever I get into a battle it drops to about 5-10 sometimes 15 or more if I sit still in game and do absolutely nothing but it still drops during that. My ping goes from my normal 140 area to 500 then 1000 then 3000  then 6000 and it just keeps rising then it will fall back down to 120 for .2 seconds and go right back to climbing the ladder. Also just to be clear I am not the only one this is happening to, pfipfu is having this happen also and I would be willing to guess many more are also. Is this on our end or is this something that needs fixed.

theres been a lot of reports of people having ping/fps problems since 64bit came out -- my ping jumps to like 4 trillion one time a day; maybe try lowering your vis limit like nick said

Never had this problem before and it only happens when I get into a populated area aka combat when I am not near a big combat zone it is fine

Can the game have an option to change this automatically? Some would not like it but it could be a tickbox.
