Gents, please do us a favor by conducting a trace route of your connection to WWII Online.

Assuming you are windows users, type this in your command prompt terminal:

tracert wwiionline.com

If you are a Mac user, type this in terminal: traceroute WWIIOnline.com

Send your results to me via private message here in the forums.

Send me this to: ping WWIIOnline.com

By having both of this I can go to our Operations Lead and review things. We can then work with our internet service provider to see if you've got some weird hops that are un-necessary which may be adding arbitrary road blocks.

Thank you!

It is just as bad as before while my ping is double. In heavy population towns lag makes capturing or defending a CP almost a waste of time. I have 100mb up/down fiber to home too.

How do I send pm in forums?

If it's easier, e-mail me as well (link on my signature).

The "ping" command gives us clues on your connection (ping time) to our servers. So in the command prompt, you'd type: ping wwiionline.com [enter] and it would spit out some information, multiple lines. We'd just need a few of those lines (Copy and Paste).

To copy from a cmd window, hold left click and drag across all you want to copy in the window. It should highlight as you drag across. Then use the  ctrl c  keys (together) to copy.

Easy way to do the trace route if you are not familiar with cmd. Create a notepad file on your desktop and paste the following into it.

@echo Testing network to wwiiOnline
@tracert wwiionline.com>>wwiiOnline_netcheck.txt
@echo - >>wwiiO@echo - >>wwiiOnline_netcheck.txt

Save the notepad as wwi_netcheck.bat or whatever name you prefer but make sure it ends  in .bat

Now you'll have a file with 2 cogs on it named whatever you named the notepad, a bat file. Double click that file and the cmd window will open.

Just let it sit there, in about 3 minutes or so it'll close and you will have a text file on your desktop (or wherever you put that bat file) that has the trace route info to wwiionline.com
