Laptop Video Cards that work and that don't

101 posts in this topic

I run an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200, it works pretty good except for 1 very bad flaw, or so on mine, when i look in certain direction, it splashes my screen with colors from objects around me and lags my computer and makes me blind in certain directions. Any advice on how to fix this would be great.

P.S. this is on my better computer, so anyone who has helped me before, this is a different computer.

P.S.S. on my other computer after i installed a playgate autoupdate, and i try to laod the live server, my computer just sits when it gets to the part"Loading connection network".( this is on the not so great computer)

I have an ATI Mobility Radeon X200 and the game crashes when I load it. Even practicing offline, it will crash.

Any word on if the devs will fix this? I haven't played in a couple years, and would really like to come back.

Hey! there you go!

For some reason it's weird what ever settings I put the game at I run around 35-60fps. 35 looking into town battle and 65 and up looking away "typical" but yeah, got any tips on your set up? screen resolution, driver?

I'm playing around with it but that's the first thing I noticed. what ever goodies on or off I get the same fps in game.

I guess it's a good thing! Either way as long as I can play who cares! lol

Dell inspiron 1501... 2GHz

894 MB RAM

ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 256 MB

The game loads and I can spawn.. but I get <2 FPS making it unplayable. The same thing happens offline.

Oh well, after a full 5 year layoff I was thinking I might start playing again with this spiffy new computer... Alas, I guess it is not to be! =(

HP Pavilion dv9000t

2.12 Ghz Intel Core2 Duo

GeForce Go 7600

Works smoothly in air, and excellent on land. That's on a wireless connection.

Couldn't ask for better performance on cable/dsl (although I'm certain there is better)

Alienware M17x

3 gb ram

2x SLI 8700m 512mb (each)

T8300 proc (i think)

settings all on high, playing 1600 x 1200. Rocked until the latest patch, now it hangs for 5-6 seconds whenever i get new orders or any on screen message rearding cps capped etc. But i must admit, it could do with a defrag and loads of background progs removed. Will prob do it this weekend.

The problem is not in your laptop but in the message bug. Just turn the notifications off in the hud settings tab and you will be fine.

I'm still running with my G1 pretty decent, getting a blue screen of death here and there but nothing crazy

Any laptop getting real decent frame rates ?

I might switch back to a desktop if I cant find something that will rock this game

Or wait for the patch ?
