G5 Dual 2.7

2.5 Gig Ram

X800XT ATI

OS 10.4.6

So far...

3 CTD's in an hour

Low FPS at minimal settings - it's doing the herky jerky in battle

Enemy (planes, EI, tanks) sometimes blink out - disappear sometimes

The game is pretty much nerfed for me. I was playing fine in last version wuz up?

check my config sticky its got my settings

I've got atix800 and dual2.0g5, basically same fps as always

with your rig you can run basically anything, minimal settings might make it worse - no ctds for me except when the server died tonight

I did run the full installer, NOT the updater - ftp://downloads.wwiionline.com/

ATI 9600Pro 128

Dual g5

2.5 ram

Connection T-1

CTD like crazy - 5 times in 3 hours plus the server crash, one point my WHOLE squad CTD at the exact same time - the lost chat host (PC) I CTD to desktop (MAC)

5-25 fps in wuust as infantry, normally around 9-14 fps

25-40 fps taking off from gilze, once in air 25 fps and below. Combat 7-12 fps. HORRIFINGLY bad. Combat over wuust WED night was 18-30 fps. I cant aim cause its so damn jerky. The only thing that was any good was the flak30 which i placed behind the veh at wuust and was getting 15-25 fps.

The sound of the planes remind me of the backwards sound we had before. Moving fast gave a low rpm, diving I got a high RPM sound, and turning. Otherwise it drops off to sound almost like an idle sound.

Seriously 20fps is the limit almost, anything below that sucks. You die to ei that suddenly pops up infront of you like a teleporter, cant shoot on time, cant aim cause of the jerky frames, IT SUCKED.

I love what they did in terms of additions to the game, but this patch has to be the worst patch I have come across sense the one that MAC players couldnt even log in. FPS is HORRIBLE, plus CTD which has been massive.

OK how about some crash logs folks. Also, did anyone try the full installer or are you relying on the updater? For folks with the ghosting problem please post your specs as the other folks have.

For me on Dual 1.8 G5 with Nvidia 6800 Ultra, 2gb RAM, at highest res and settings. Update using online updater.

FPS looking at a busy town is now much lower, in the 10 area (but suprisingly not as bad as that sounds--or maybe I'm just used to low frame rates, I dunno).

Around 21-25 in other areas. So I'm averageing about 5-9fps drop, as I was getting low 30's at best and 13-14fps at worst before the patch.

Had one CTD during about 3 hours of play. But it seemed to be a connection lag crash--it was the classic, everyone stuck in place and I could still shoot and move but no effect on the "world". After a couple minutes it locked up for good. I'm thinking the CTD's may be just server connection issues that have happened before on busy nights.

For the good news! The water effect is fixed FINALLY! Yaaay! Audio seemed fine for me, though still not as "rich" sounding as on a PC. Don't know what it is exactly, but when I play on Windows, all the sound effects seem a little "livelier" (oh, I forgot, on a PC, I use the Soundblaster Audigy2 ZS via its headphone jack, so perhaps that has some effect on it). The textures on buildings and infantry look MUCH better. Especially, the brick textures on the walls and such. The new trees slow things down a bit but are much more pleasing to the eye at medium distance (the stochatic leaf dispersion looks more like real leaves compared to the jaggy bundles they were before).

I played some infantry last night and the infantry lag everyone is complaining about is certainly there, but I can't tell if it's a whole lot worse than before. Seems about the same for me, lots of simul-kills as both of us shoot and die simultaneously.

I like the dust effect with the bullet hits. I had a Saving Private Ryan sniper moment as I was trying to shoot a running axis soldier from a window and the dust sprayed next to him as my scope swung wildly. Would have made a nice little movie cap.

Yeah the PRF seems to be kaput on ATI now and works on NVidia. Also if you are having other troubles try the full installer.

I did run the full installer, NOT the updater - ftp://downloads.wwiionline.com/

I upped the settings and it improved some ahwulf, though the FPS are still about a third lower than I was getting but playable. I did a clean (full) install of the game also. I'll try various config's and see if it improves anymore.

There will be a new version tomorrow which will roll back some network changes they made. Might help a little.

You guys report these bugs to ATI and Apple?

Formula is simple, it doesn't need tech. knowledge:

If Nvidia people doesn't have your ATI problems: 80% chance ATI driver problem.

Both companies (nvidia, ati) apply never justified "mac tax" to their products. I mean they better care.

Probably not a driver bug, just Jaeger having trouble writing code that correctly deals with all the different variations on the many cards. Remember the last version didn't PRF on NVidia. Eventually it will be somewhere in between :-)

OS 10.4.6, Dual 2ghz, 3gb ram, x800xt video, 2gb broadband.

Had high FPS in 1.23 and previous (like 40+) now since this evening's patch (1.23.1.255) my FPS has gone to 10-15 max.

No new drivers on ATI's site since last year (surprise surprise) and nothing has changed on my system from before this patch. Used to run brilliantly, but now with such low FPS and choppy visuals it's almost painful on the eyes!

Cheers and good luck all.

Having horrible FPS problems: was around 20-35, now 8-11. Tried downloading full installer from ftp site but can't seem to get a file I can read... the wwiiol12221230.bin and update both unstuff with plain document icons and give an 'can't install noerr' error message.

Could someone indicate which file I should be looking for?

Dual2Ghz / 10.4.6 / 3.5GB RAM / 6800GT / 30"LCD

EDIT: Oh yeah, one other thing... is it too much to ask for a GD installer that works? kthanks.

OS 10.3.9

G4 Dual 1.25

Radeon 9800

For what it's worth, no problems at all.

Apparently I spoke too soon. Since the latest patch, (the patch to fix the patch) I can no longer log in. It starts up on the loading screen, gets through "Connecting to network" and then hangs at "Logging in". It then briefly says something about taking too long to connect to host and quits.
