My guess, because your cpu is not one listed that is supported by this feature. Not all cpu's were.

You can always bypass the settings program and rename the SSE2 executable to WW2.EXE after making a backup of the original files (of course) to see if it works.

What CPU do you have?

What good will that do if the CPU doesn't support SSE2 anyway?
