Revamp missions ffs

Okay, this is the last straw. I RTB with a Tiger I had driven from 1 town back, and it says my mission is no longer valid. Now all of a sudden my Tiger (or any OTHER equipment) suddenly disappears and isn't in either spawn list. I can't DO anything about it, I have to give up my tank and either spawn something else, or drive it waaaaaaaaaaay back from the other town?

Why can't you join other missions from the reservation screen? Seems like a very easy solution to make missions joinable from the equipment reservation screen...

agreed, yesterday i flew a p38 from seclin over to buz, had a fight and rtbed to betrix with a mission reserve, mission was no longer valid, bye bye p38.

I've had this happen and when you RTB and try to respawn it says "mission no longer valid" right? This can happen when the ML dies and noone assumes the role. Try ".takelead" in this case.

This is barring that:

The BDE hasn't moved, or if the mission Origin was from a FB and it was destroyed.

It sounds like BDE being moved might have been the case for both of you.

Its still a PITA. The game should recognize that your brigade was moved and give you options of joining another brigade/mission that is in your town of rtb.

If you choose to leave the equipment it should go back to the brigade it came from, if you choose to switch brigades to the local town it should act like a resupply mission where it adds the vehicle to the brigade you selected and let you keep the reserve.

In this thread, Doc tells us that dynamic brigade origins and objectives are in the early stages of development. Once this is in and working properly, the problems described above will disappear.
