The 333 are loosers, I have keyboardless range calculator :)

NO HACK, Gophur will hit stroke.

You mean you use a printed mortar range table ?http://battlegroundtools.com/documents/Mortars_101.pdf

I've printed a copy 11X17" and very quickly i was able to calculate range and hit target without LOS pretty accurately. Still a line between my position and target on the map would be most usefull.

5-6s ?

Well maybe not that quick yet. But there's only 2 substractions to do with the coordonates, involving in most cases only the seconds. Then checking the result with the table. So yeah with practice it could take 5-6 sec.

What i find the most cumbersome is to line up target with no LOS at 400-500M . I have to open map, use a ruler on the monitor to see if i'm aligned with target, get out of map, adjust, get into map, check again with a ruler ... and so on until perfectly aligned.

What about marks on the map. If you put a range target down on the map should it just tell you how far away you are from it?

Actually this sounds like a very very good solution IMO.
