New Fonts

Knowing you guys can make a way to change the font size, I would like to ask if you can put a BOLD option for it in the next patch.

I've seen a lot of people complaining about a poor reading with the new font style. I still don't need glasses, but I do agree that the old one with bold style was more easy to read.

Seriously, I'm not posting that only for what I think that should be good. I really saw a lot of guys complaining about a non-bold style and decided to ask here. Adding that as an OPTION should be good. Would be nice if we could change not only the font size.

Agree, font is prettier, but it is very difficult for me to read, especially when reading town names on the map, hovering over CP's when zoomed into a town, hovering over friendlies/marks etc. Even the text on the various buttons is difficult for me.

This may seem like a minor issue, but when I am at the map, a flag gets capped in a town, I can't read if that flag was the enemy spawnable, our fallback CP etc. etc. so it's kind of a big deal!

Very tough tofind an open sourcfe font that has Simplified PRC, english and all the rest in one font. I'm open to suggestions. Will check if it has bold face included but don't think so. Will check.

I just find a way to put it as BOLD style via chat, Gophur. I only need to know if you allow me to put it here.

After I realized that the font is ARAIL, was easy to do.

EDIT: Of course its not a cheat or something like that. Just a dot command.

I figure out that you guys didn't put anything in the XML file about the font name, RATs.

I'm wondering if you can write a line about what font type you're using in the game. As I said, I can change the font by chat with a dot command, but the game doesn't save it and I need to type the font that I want everytime I enter in the game.

I don't believe that will be hard for you to do and will be a nice add for some players.

As Fabao said ARIALBD is available via the Dot command, has to be reset each login.

The font is not Arial.

Unsupported beta feature on the font command.It will have to be removed along with some old test fonts.

The font used has to support chinese characters as well as English ones.

I am running the game on 2 computers. One with a 17" LCD and the other on a Wide 24".

When I installed the patch I looked at the 17" and I just disliked it. Was quite hard to read actually. Ok not hard but more difficult than before.

On the 24" it looks nice though and it feels like the text is not taking up more space than needed. So yes, on the 17" I might prefer the old font or a bold version of the new font.
