Renault R-35 ammo change

I was using a Renault R-35 (look, it was dark and I got in by mistake, OK). I pressed backspace and the ammo display changed from AP to HE. I fired 7 rounds and the HE ammo count went down, but the rounds were still AP (at least, the animation and decals were for AP). I pressed backspace again, the display changed back to AP, and I fired a couple of rounds to check - these were also AP. Pressed backspace again, the display changed to HE, and this time the rounds fired were HE.
