PzIIIf Kill

I was guarding the spawn CP in Wavre tonight when a PzIIIf pulled up outside. He was about 30 yards away with his right side facing the building. His commander was up, so I deployed my LMG and fired a burst at his head. He then turned his turret and shot me with his coax MG. I despawned and the AAR showed I had got a kill on him. Since I ONLY fired at the commanders head and didn't even hit the tank anywhere else, how can this count as a kill? I thought a tank kill was both tracks, degun, driver or gunner?

probably just an error.. they happen

people have checked stats and seen a 109 get a "kill" for their DD, even though we know this is impossible.

if you went and repeated that on the training server 1000 times, it would most likely never happen again.

if course it will not happen on the training server, its a proven fact the training server has less errors/bug/glitches with how enemy units are damaged or killed compared to the LIVE server.

I think you can also get a kill if your fire deflected through the open turret killing the gunner or driver. (In this case, likely the driver.) This is often how fighters will get a kill on an unbuttoned tank. It is a very rare shot, but not impossible.

Then again, do LMG rounds deflect in WWIIOL like spawl?
