Recently the driver posistion inthe 3g has a bug.

When I use the presiscope to drive, closing the open slit in front , when i look through the periscope I see a grey piece of metal move up into the way of the periscope view. All other tanks work fine when I close the slit and look through periscope ?

Any ideas ?

HI There

Its normal been there for years that bottom half is blanked out. And the wider your screen resolution the worse it gets.

I stopped using triplehead for this reason becaus with this setup you end up just being able to see a tiny blue strip of sky so have to change to super wide screen

And ignore the other commenters they are surely blind

For people with a sight problem ;-)

Notice 33% of the sight is grayed out at the bottom

As I said earlier been there for years and the wider your resolution is the worse it gets with 3800 *800 it gets impossible to used zoom in stug III and you can only see the top 20% as clear sky

it's not really greyed out, its a part of the vehicles model,

the problem is actually poor field of view placement, and because different resolutions give you different fields of view, it can change per resolution.

and it is not just that tank, it also affects other vehicles like the Panzer 38t, it is harder to see through the driver view port zoomed in than it is just using normal view. that is just one of many affected vehicles.

they also have other FOV problems such as 3rd person models on tanks like the commander, on most if not all tanks when the commander unbuttons they'll be largely exposed or barely exposed, but in first person view through the eyes of the commander on the barely exposed it looks as if you're 2-3 feet out the top of the tank but the 3rd person model just barely has their head out.

but like I said, this is a matter of poor FOV placement rather than a bug created by the game.

EDIT: btw I run 1680x1050.

^^^^ This for those without a "sight problem".

But I think we can all agree its a bug when I run 3 x monitors I have a very large fov.

Which means in a stug III my periscope sight in driver position is 90% vechicle model.

While in a 232 periscope driver position i have 0% vechicle model.

Also we have the problem with all binoculors and gun sigths in super wide screen mode.

basically the center scren will have e everthing except a cirle in the middle blacked out. But the left and righ monitor will not be blacked out as you may expect but has normal sight.

IF you rung 1900 x 12000 inb char in most comander posion zoomned in you wil have parts of the screen left and right which are not blacked out

But I saw on Twitter that the rats where working for super wide screen mode so I hope they come up with a fix.

And I sure hope with the new visual models coming in 1.31 they fix the stug III

And it would be nice if they fic the DAC commander to just try taking a pan or 232 out and zoom in commander view go for a drive.

And then see the violent shaking you get to the commander view doing the same in the DAC.

So

Ty for your input,

I do only get this on my account that uses the triple head to go monitor system. I hope this helps the rats fix it for triple head users.

I used triplehead but threw it in the trash can as I have no vis in driver position periscope

Have you you tired the 232 driver position with shutters open if not you are in for a treat

I do not recall driving 232 with slit open, does triple head also effect this unit ? I can see ok with slit closed, what happens when you open it ? Is it bino view ?

Try it and suddenly the world gets all good he he

No here you have no impact from the vechicle model

I just reinstalled my triplehead at 5040 x 1050 and its very nice in 232
