When I'm stood there in the world doing the tests my FPS will go from for example 76 to 102 and intermediate values.

Do you want the lowest figures, highest, median or whut?

i used fraps .. which shows exakt FPS in realtime didnt notice any FPS loss either when turning it on and off while ingame

It should stabilize. If not, choose the highest and just use that.

if it does not stabilize you might want to check your task manager and see if you have other processes eating system resources while the test is running.

Same here I just eye balled an average. I opened up the task manager and didn't see anything else chewing up system resources so I'm not certain where the fluctuations came from.

Clean install of win7 64 bit on an i7 overclocked to 3.5ghz. Even if there was other stuff running (there isn't) I doubt it'd make much of a dent.
