Weird Joystick issue

This is weird but here goes.

I have Saitek X52; a joystick and throttle controller. Both units have multiple buttons which I've successfully used programmed for several years in game now. About two months ago, two of the thumb buttons on the left, or throttle control do not work in this game. I used these buttons for starting all my engines for example. I am able to reprogram this function to other buttons, but why would this just stop working?

Before you ask, I did test the J/S and all the buttons, sliders and knobs work when tested. It's kinda annoying and perplexing since I can't imagine what I could have done to stop just two buttons from working.

You didn't say which buttons quit, but I am guessing mebbe one of them is the clutch button. If so, you need to disable the clutch function by going into the MFD tab of the control panel and unchecking the clutch box.

Otherwise, I would imagine that something else is trapping button presses before they reach the game. TrackIR, TS, and a Saitek profile that is being loaded would be my candidates to review. There could be other things, but I am thinking that if you look back at things you added/changed two months ago with this in mind, you will have a Doh! moment. :)
