Sprint Bug Still There!

Sprint bug from 1.29 is still there!

Lower weapon.

Use binocs.

Switch back to weapon.

Sprint does NOT work.

Raise weapon.

Lower weapon.

Sprint works again.

I'm pretty sure it's related to the reload bug introduced at the same time (1.29). Not going to bother trying to replicate that though until this is fixed.

Please fix, ty.

i try to replicate this in current version as well as 1.31 and it doesn't happen.

are you sure this isn't operator error?

Definitely not op error. I can replicate every time. Started with 1.29 when they redid the keymapper.

UPDATE:

Actually is doesn't matter if the rifle is lowered or raised to start.

If I immediately start sprinting after switching from binocs back to rifle - sprint doesn't work.

It has something to do with the visual state.

E.g. if I start with the rifle raised, switch to binocs, switch back to rifle and immediately try to sprint - sprint doesn't work. However, if a wait 1-2 seconds before trying to sprint, the rifle returns to my first person view and sprint works.

Similarly with the rifle lowered if I pause before trying sprint, I can briefly catch the rifle returning to first person view in the lower left corner. Sprint will work.

oh, its the same thing that happens with satchels

you have to wait the 1-2 seconds, i think its to simulate putting away the binos/satchel

That's intentional? It wasn't that way before 1.29.

Also, what's more important is there is a reload bug where the rifle fails to reload automatically. You go to shoot... nothing... hit reload... it fires and gets stuck without reloading again!

It's very annoying and bad for trying to stay alive. I can't reproduce it exactly but I believe the two issues are related and would like to see them fixed.

Maybe related:

All HUD off (no mini-map, no chat etc)

Press Enter to bring up chat, press enter again

No sprint available until weapon is aimed
