Will test other AAA guns and report back.

Ok... No problem with Brit Guns. Only French Guns do it. I found the problem at Vireaux. Tested it at Haybes and there was no problem.

I pushed the bofors straight out of the vspawn about 3 meters and set it.

It was overcast at the time. No discernable separate clouds visible.

I didn't try turning the bofors carriage 90 degrees to see if it was relative to the carriage or the sky.

Other thing I noticed was when continuously firing across the "black hole", once you got to where the tracers reappeared, the explosion smoke puffs appeared in the "black hole" area.

I can't check tonight because of the testing schedule. If there is a brigade in Vireaux on Thursday will check it again and will notify you of my results.

I was an electronics technician for 20 years so testing and troubleshooting are in my blood.

Please feel free to let me know if I can be of assistance.

Wondering if this is the same problem I've seen while flying over Antwerp with rain enabled.

Did some testflying over Antwerp city to test fps etc. and enabled rain.

While flying through the rain doing some turns it sometime looked like moses himself had appeared and made a divide in the rainshower(no rain was visible in the middle, but showed up to the left and right in the forward looking view).

This only appeared at certain angles while turning the plane and might have been connected to which bearing you where facing.

I tested this in the training grounds and Vireaux, online beta and offline, with the french bofors and 25mm AAA (tried other bofors at other towns as well). I tried 10-12 clock, 30-45 degrees, then vareying degrees and orientation. I was unable to reproduce your results.

There is a treeline at the 10-12 from the veh spawn that when shooting at, obscures the view of tracers, but it is no higher than 20 degrees, and I doubt this would be the cause of your results.

Tim,

I have not been able to get on the training server in pacific time so I have been unable to see if I could recreate the problem. I will try again this week and let you know what I find.

Thanks.

ok, do you know if that happens in 3rd person too? maybe i can get on at the same time as you and you can show me.

Don't know about 3rd person.

Problem is still there. It is a hole in the sky. I changed the direction of the bofors mount and the hole stayed in the same place.

I also just saw a plane fly into the same area and it disappeared.

Tried to replicate at Vireaux with a French Bofors, the only issue I could find was this (marked with red square on screenshot) - which I thought was already listed as a known issue. Couldn't see any other problems.

I think its going to take video to show this. The next time the Beta is available in the evening for the West Coast, I will try and get some video of the problem.

v1.30.0.30 Tried to replicate but clouds were in. Could not see any missing polygon. Will try again later today.

1.31.0.30 - spawned a French bofors at Vireaux to test and promptly fell through the ground as leaving the veh spawn. 50.4.46 N 4.43.37 E, the Northermost spawn bay. Only happened once, couldn't replicate.

The graphics anomalies in the sky are still there, much as in my pic posted above.

No brigade in Viraux (online), German owned too (put AO on it for recapping later by someone)

Tested from FB to Viraux, broken cloud cover.

Tested French and UK from Veere.

Could not replicate what Tom found, but did see odd interaction of different effects.

Both UK and French Bofors and Camel would cause the "hole/streak in sky" to go from light to dark blue (must get light first, easier to get dark).

Only the French AA guns caused the Sun to TURN OFF. Position to see the sun, fire, turns off. Regardless if you see dark holes/stripes or not.

No test German.

Likly this is all related. Alpha Sort issue?

This is a sorting error.

Q: When things go into this hole do they disappear? Planes? Muzzle flashes?

Also, I cannot find this hole in the current version but we do have a ticket on these errors.

Gophur,

Planes, Muzzle flashes, tracers, tracer smoke, and HE explosions all disappear.

Strange thing, if you are using a bofors and scanning across the hole while continuously firing the above items stop showing as you enter the hole, as you exit the hole area, any rounds that are still in flight in the hole area appear in the hole area.

I have FRAPS installed now so the next time I am able to get on the test server I will get video of the problem.

I was not able to replicate the problem today.

The weather was clear before but was overcast when I saw the problem previouslly.

I did see problem PeeGee noted.

I will try later.

Just checked offline, clear day by default. Could not find the hole from the ground or in an aircraft. Will test online.

Couldn't find it online either

oh hahaha, just looked at the ticket, it was fixed.
