Hi guys,

crs, my compliments on this new update, i have tested the infrantry test and all i can say is awsome! My only concern is the the low fps... Got a 3.0 ghz intel 4 gb ram and a ati 4870. Got 20 fps in town and 40 out of town. With 1.30 i got double fps

wondering if this ati problems are still know as a issue and are there more guys with ati cards having the same problem? Or is the a setting solution? Using drivers 10.1

Got an 4850x2, my FPS seem lower than comparable rigs with other cards. I think there still is an issue with ATI driver optimization for BE. Not sure if CRS can influence that.

Said FPS for me are acceptable, so no stopper for me.

not an Ati proble i got a nv gtx285 (one of the big ones) in a 1500€ pc and i got 15-20 fps in town 30-60 outside. In 1.30 i got 40-50 in town 80-150 outside.

The fps drop is unplayable.

You have got a serious problem with your rig then.

My rig:

3.0ghz Athlon X2, GTS250 1gb, 4gb ram, 500gb 7200 rpm HD. Uncapped I get 80-120 fps outside of town, 60-80 in town, 40 when looking over antwerp in the benchmark test.

With it capped i get 55-60 except in heavy situations where it might drop to down to 30s.

Sounds to me like you have something take up your power that ISNT ww2ol.

Uninstall unneeded programs, run an indepth virus scan and bootsector/malware scan, defrag HD and then next time you load up BE look in your task manager to see what else is running in the background besides BE and see how much CPU usage/memory usage is going on.

people need to remember to lower setting on card or use aplication controled if your forcing 16 AA on your card that will happen etc.

Same settings on 1.31 and 1.30

40fps decrease

yes but if your setting prior were x16, and you left it the same you can expect that, 1.30 didnt really use your gpu, the new game does and you will get performance decrease from it. I believe tweaking out of game setting will have best results.

Well I can give you 2 dift antwerp benchmarks for comparision if it helps. But if the OP is on a 3ghz single core P4 then I'm fraid he's about at his limits.

E2160 duel core 1.8 ghz oc to 2.3

9600gt

2 gigs ddr ram

1920x1080x32 res

Benchantwerp=23fps

I7 920 oc to 3.4ghz

260GTX

6 gigs ddr3 ram

1920x1080x32 res

Benchantwerp=65fps

What's up with the 2 dift fps readouts in the upper right hud on thr bench tests? Lower one is 90 but fraps agreed with the upper one at 65....

And I imagine if I crank the i7 up past 4 ghz I'd see fps go well over 100 on the antwerp benchmark...Might check later.

Above is current 1.31 beta version.

Damn! your getting high benchmarks compared to me... the biggest difference being that I'm running a ATI card and you have a nVidia card.

My rig...

Windows7 Enterprise(64bit)

i7-920 (stock, no O/C)

ATI 4870 X2

6 GB DDR3 RAM

1680x1050x32

Benchantwerp~22fps

My CPU runs at 2.66GHz(2.93GHz with turbo boost) and yours at 3.4GHz... not that very big difference as to make your rig 3x faster...

I've set my GFX card to Application controlled, I dont 'force' any settings in the GFX software...

Something is off with ATI vs BE...(I consider myself quite savy when it comes to tweaking my computer)

The only time I've seen this big difference is when doing the PhysX benchmarking in '3DMark Vantage' where the nVidia has support for PhysX and ATI doesnt and has to struggle through the benchmark process... But I presume that BE doesn't support PhysX(or am I wrong :-)

I doubt be uses physx. And yea your pulling the fps my E2160 is getting, both my rigs vid settings are 16xAA and 16xAnistropic as well.

I'll declock my i7 rig to stock and see what I get.

YOU WHAT! 16xAA and 16xAnisotropic.... I havent even gone there yet because of my poor performence, running my settings at minimum AA and Anisotropic.

Thats still 2x times the performance I get....

If the environment is CPU bound then turning up the visual goodies on the card won't make any difference. Of course it could be driver bound or bus bound or cosmic ray bound, but unless the GPU is stressed AA and FSAA etc won't affect FPS.
