1.31.0.26 - Clipping through new pine trees #3789

This is a weird bug, was having trouble reproducing it at first until i realized its location specific...

There are certain areas of the world where the new pine trees (these are the only ones i've found this bug occuring in) are completely clippable. Infantry can walk right through them. I was surprised when i first found this because i was sure someone would have reported it already. I restarted the game and spawned in near brussels and walked to the closest pine tree....couldn't walk through it; then i went back to the town where i first found it (Noyon); walked to the nearest pine tree and i couldnt walk through it either

at this point i attributed it to something getting buggy in the game before i restarted it but just for scheisse und gigglez i went to the next patch of pine trees and sure enough i walked right through them. I then went back to the previous patch (only about 50m away) and couldnt walk through them.

Not sure what is causing this problem in some areas but I observed it near Roye as well

probably going to need more testing to see how widespread or limited this is

edit: found another spot; pine trees on NE side of Binche (50.24.18N 4.8.30E)

edit: also occurs in some but not all pine trees on the S and SW side of Binche

I was watching a pz parked between two of those trees and was amazed when he turned his turret and the gun barrel past through the trees I thought they should have prevented the turret from turning but that wasnt the case.

I don't think gun barrels are affected by the colliders in trees.

Ticketed #3789

Odd that it is only some. Is it also only on some trees some of the time? When you come back do they get colliders or do they never have colliders.

the groups of trees that have it, never have it. I can restart the game and walk right up to them and go through em

Yup, should fix those as well.. didn't make it into .30 so guess it will be in the fix after that..

Does the fix include the issue of grenades and other ordnance going through the trees?

I think this will be related to the ticket about invisible collision objects in trees as well.

Ready for test 1.31.0.31

Found some clippable trees near Longwy. See: http://forums.battlegroundeurope.com/showthread.php?t=316924

Hand grenades still pass through trees (all types that I tried so far).

Weird partial-shooting-through-trees bug too. Only happens with the newer taller trees and especially the thinner one. Only happens when there is another tree of the same group directly behind the tree but not when there isn't! Confused? A video might help demonstrate... (might take a few minutes to process on YouTube)

Bug definitely still present

Again, only occurs with certain groups of the new pine trees.

No. Trees haev never stopped grenades since they started bouncing. Can't fix today.

Walking around verdun in offline mode I was in the prone position and managed to crawl and easily clip through a few trees northeast of verdun inbetween the town and notre dame.

These are the exact trees
