Strange Keyboard Issue

I haven't checked all the keys but the game does not recognize keystrokes from the tilde key ( the one with "~" and "`") or the left brace/bracket key ("[" and "{"). Also the key strokes for the bracket/braces are shifted to the right, so left bracket shows up when hitting the right bracket key, and right bracket shows up when hitting the backslash/pipe key. Restarting/rebooting makes no difference. Don't know if this happens in live game or only in beta. Typing in notepad/word/whatever all the keys work fine.

strange, haven't had any issues with this so far.

is this new to Build 0.28 or have you always had this issue in Beta?

I think I've always had it in beta. I remember having problems keymapping stuff early on but not trying to suss out what was going on. Then I was playing inf or atgs and those keys are mostly for vehicles so I didn't notice an issue until trying to drive a truck and tank yesterday.

I just double checked offline. If I type in chat I can type [ ] \ just fine. If I try setting those keys in keymapper it doesn't acknowledge a keystroke from [ at all, it thinks ] is [ and it thinks \ is ]. It doesn't acknowledge ` either. It exhibits the same behavior when actually playing as when trying to set the keymap. If I hit \ I shift up and ] to shift down and [ does nothing. ` does nothing as well.

try to reset to default keymap and go to the Battleground Europe Test Folder in my documents and delete your cfml folder. Then try again.

Have the same problem with the same keys as well WWIIOL Live or Beta, different laptop but from what i recall, it happens in other games as well. This laptop is refurbished so figured it still had issues.

What you said about being able to type using the keys but them not being recognized as key commands is what I found as well.

The [,],\ nad ` keys are registering correctly in my keymapper.

Could be a layout issue with the laptop keyboard. Dunno. It happens in other games?

Tested with two other games, Aces High II and FS9, same problem occurs in AH2 but not in FS9.
