Was great fun :) Feels like we are slowly getting closer to something we can run a real campaign in :D

The new capture mechanics seemed to be a huge improvement: The longer timer gives less incentive to solo-capture, and combined with the timer not resetting, it made for more people fighting for a building at once.

It might just be the extremely low-pop combined with an unfamiliar mechanic, but I'm a bit worried about the small central battle distracting from the big one: Everyone's so focused on one building that a few people just waltz to the next and sneak in and start the timer (during the first fight, I pretty much took the AB on my own by avoiding the main fight). This might not be an issue in the real game, but we still have "bunker duty" because this kind of thing happens now, so I'm still a bit wary.

The denser terrain was really nice: Easier survive/hide, but in some ways this is also a bad thing: "Who shot me" frustration is going to go up for new players. It's already a pretty big problem, so it will definitely be worth some effort to look into how to get the "stop, listen, and hide" message across.

Participated in the test in Vireaux as well last night - and have some feedback on capturing.

I really, really like that you do not have to touch a table to be capturing. It makes for great combat in the area around the CP´s. Great stuff!

But I have a slight issue with the fact that capturing starts as soon as an enemy enters the CP.

As it is implemented right now you can be guarding a CP on the first floor - then an EI can walk in on the ground level and start capturing while you are still in there. So if you don´t pay attention to the cap meter then the facility will be capped. This seems a bit silly that the enemy can cap while you are in the facility.

I would propose that capping does not start until the enemy has MORE people in the facility than the owner. When there are an equal amount of attackers and defenders in the facility - capping should stop.

That would mean that when attacking a facility with one attacker and one defender:

- Attacker would have to kill the defender before capping

- Or bring some friends with you

Ownership with an equal amount of defenders and attackers should be handled as if there were no-one in there (meaning capping meter should slowly revert to ownership side).

Feedback -

Rain. Great noticed that the splash effects especially on buildings seem to be high about a foot off the object.

Infantry movement. Very slugish when turning with mouse side to side. Not sure but this may have been mentioned before.

Infantry weapons. noticed some muzzle flashs occur but sound does not or vice versa. Especially on french rifle and Brit Grenadier.

LMG's noticed that they are impossible to kill if crouched in a window. I tested this and had 19 kills in one window in vireaux with inf shooting at me. wasn't till another inf came into building that i could be killed.

Shaders especially when using optics ie: binocs, scope or tanks sights. Very dark and a lot of wash out in shadows. may just be a graphics adjustment but I havent found it yet.

Also the Invisible trees and other objects, noticed that while driving laffy and tank. All of a sudden wham stopped and start climbing. Noticable in heavily wooded areas.

Also mentioned the bushes trees and berm floating on slopes very significant.

Sytem Specs

Asus P6T

Intel i930 CPU

EVGA GeForce GT 240 1 GB DDR3 (I trashed the ATI Card)

System Mem 6 GB

I think it was great. However- I felt that I was invisible at some points. Ran around and got 12 EI kills with french SMG before someone gunned me down. I asked on .all but got no comments on it. Reason it ticked me off was that I managed to run into at least 5-6 EI head on and kill them without them firing a shot even though wielding automatic weapons. At one point I had the feeling that an EI appeared out of thin air 5m in front of me. (Didn't report it cause I thought I'm maybe just blind.)
