Ok i first thought this was a bug. i was in a He111 and when the engine was running in the rear gunner and belly gunner the sound was more muffled. you could hear the rumble of engines but not the clear droning splutter you can hear from all other positions. There was also this background whine over the rumble and it sounded awesome!!!

it felt really claustrophobic, felt like I was really inside a small capsule, plus because it was less 'in your face' it was more enjoyable and i would Imagen teamspeak would be clear over the top of it which is a real problem anyway from aircraft engine noise.

I thought it was a feature but then i panned my head left and right and it started to pick up the loud splutter of each engine.

Then i remembered, i didn't have my rear speakers plugged in my surround sound.. when i did the splutter was there.

Guys with surround sound. unplug your rear speakers just leaving the base and front left and right. then get a he111 up on the air and jump to rear gunner. sounds awesome. all you Rats have to do is just use these channels in the cockpits and add a computer fan whine to the mix. its not a old noisy fan but a new gentle fan noise.

the whine made it sound reverberate coming through the cockpit.

It was a GREAT noise. seriously very emersive.

Not a bug i know but would make a GREAT feature. get your sound guy to try it
