When I ran it it says .39

Read me also says .39

When I tried the .41 update, it gave me an error.

Me 2.

I get the .39->.40 update, then it downloads the .40->.41 patch but it won't run because it says "there is already a newer version of the application".

Ditto. Looks like the data tonight will be missing Macs...

Ditto, same --- it thinks .41 is older than .40, and won't install the patch.

The patches all work correctly if you get them from the ftp server using an ftp client.

I'll figure out what went fubar in Monday when I get back into town. Apparently you can get the patches by hand. You can get it from html as well, the patches sit on the same directory, just change the name in the link above or maybe someone can post it.

it's something the patch download process is getting confused on.

I tried the auto patch and manual ftp with patch, both without success.

Some have apparently had success so I will try again tomorrow.

Try getting the 40 full installer, run it, then run the 41 patcher. It possible the auto patch messed up enough to make the patcher not recognize the app.

Wish I could do more, but can't.

I downloaded the supposedly '.40' dmg but the bundle says the version is b39.

I have not gotten any permutation of auto/manual patching to work.

When manually patching from ftp'd .41 update, the updater complains that the installed version is newer.

No joy.
