Infantry Aim: Crouch Eye Height [v .41]

There are two distinct issues.

One:

Eye height changes when you are crouched and then move. This means when you are in concealment, and you want to adjust your position just a little bit your eye height bounces up and when you stop moving it drops back down. This makes it difficult to line up a shot, or line up your view better. It is VERY irritating and distracting and VERY UN-immersive, it completely takes me out of the moment of concentrating on what I am doing. Very jarring.

Two:

The same issue still exists as before when you aim. Your eye height changes and you are now looking at nothing but a leaf. A second ago there was an EI lying in a berm shooting his LMG, and now suddenly I see nothing but a big green leaf blob when I aim.

Much as Romzy's posting style can give me headaches (and the fact that he's "NEVAR WRONG!!"), that post pretty much nails it on the head.

romz you['re] my damn hero

Ya know, at first Romsburg, you rubbed me the wrong way and I wasn't a fan. But over the past 12 months, you have really grown on me. You're precise, well spoken and although you are sometimes a little harsh, you are most often correct and in proper context with your responses.

I can't say [any]thing else [than] that the ban was justified considering that you have an 'impressive' TOS history....

The only thing worse than being talked about is *not* being talked about.

Hmm...

Dont really mind the move changes but aim should be same, will check again.

I mind.

Come on....

Eye height doesn't bounce around in other stances. And it shouldn't. Is there a compelling game reason to make it do this?

It isn't even "realistic". If I crouch and move when I am hunting, I intentionally try to keep my view steady. This bobbing is irritating, distracting, and serves no good purpose.

I'm trying to play a game here.

Thanks for fixing the aim/leaf thing. I'll have to test later, I'm on the bed computer right now.
