Cannot update with playnet

I just played the beta when I got home from work at around 5:00PM Eastern. I took a break and am trying to play again. It says that a new update is needed, but when it tries to download it says unable to connect to patch server. This has done this before and I had to dload the full installer. I don't want to do this again. Any clue what to do?

Revised... Actually after trying again it just says "Download failed. Please retry." It then goes to a troubleshooting webpage. I am using a SOHO Firewall and am wondering if some port I need may be getting blocked?

Updated again... After several tries it did connect and an update is being dloaded. I'm not sure what this issue is but it could be more of a problem once 1.31 goes live.

I had the same problem and came here. After seeing your suggestion I tried several more times and it finally started downloading the patch.

I downloaded the patch but when it tried to install I always get some error.

gotta try auto update 3 times for it to work. i gotta.

change you can believe in.

but today it got to 100% download and frooze. did error report and had to try 3 more times for it to finish download and start install. oh ya, had to type in pasword each time, get this **** fixed

I fixed the problem by simply updating to the .43 version then to .44, I think that might be the problem for some of us.
