On 1.31 my new alienware desktop runs good. No adjustments. My FPS is not so great though, like 40-50 fps most the time on the ground, 100+ in the air which was better. Where is this sytem short at? I was expecting alot better FPS on a brand newsystem.

I'm running a machine with similiar specs and I've noticed similiar results as well. I think a lot of it has to do with the density of other player units than than graphics. In Ramagen (or whatever it's called), in offline mode I get great performance but when logged into the beta my FPS is about where yours is. I selected player visibility down to low from medium and that helped a lot. I'm wondering if the medium player visibility limit is equivalent to highon 1.30. Running the player visibility at high on 1.30 sends my FPS down to what I'm currently experiencing on the 1.31 beta server.

I'm sure there will be a few more beta builds to smooth things out.

*fingers crossed*

I've noticed a very odd behaviour regarding the cpu usage of 1.31. When i start the game in offline mode and spawn at the training grounds, i get around 90 FPS looking south at the airfield. At that time the windows ressource monitor shows me a load of 100% on both of my cores, 90-93% (17 Threads) of which is being generated by ww2.exe.

Now if i start creating clones my cpu load stays at 100% for the first few clones until I've created the 11th clone, then the load induced by ww2.exe drops to 48-49% (14 Threads) which brings my total cpu load down to 60%.

The interesting thing now is that it stays at that level regardeless of how many clones i add or where i look at. The cpu load doesn't even change when i despawn and spawn in again at another place far away from the training grounds.

To top it all, if i close the game and restart immediately the cpu load won't even go to a 100% this time, it will simply stay at 48-49% from the start. I have to wait 30 seconds before i start the game again to get it to use my dual core fully.

Maybe this strange behaviour is the reason why people with monster machines don't see great fps. If the game only uses half the processor power its no wonder.

Yes I kinda have the same problem. I run with 56-64 fps on avg with 1.31 then sometimes out of nowhere it will drop to 4-6 fps for a few secs then go up to normal.

Did you notice a significant improvement when changing the game settings from max quality to max performance?

It isn't you I don't think. We have some bottlenecks still to work out of this 10 year old engine.
