Ghost planes not like Vyper's experience

In a similar not truly like Vyper's we had a ghost plane experience. The only difference was I was flying it.

It was about 2am east coast time (about 2 hours after the beta server reset took place) and I took off as french while on TS with Miked420 and Osprey39 who flew german. I flew my 38 to where they told me they were so we could have a little fur ball but when I arrived I didn't see them anywhere. They laughed like I just couldn't find them, then they got in behind me, both pounding my aircraft with rounds. I weaved but never saw a tracer or an aircraft around me. I did see a friendly flying a hurri 2C over the town earlier in the flight, but I did not see these guys at all. I could hear and feel my aircraft taking massive damage, but that was it. I eventually exploded and neither Osprey or Mike got the kill.

So thinking it was a fluke, we decided to do a test. I grabbed a P-39 for it's great rear view. This time I flew over town to drop my bomb and found a Fw on the deck. I took shots at him but hit nothing. Then I realized I never heard or saw my bomb hit the ground either. Thinking it was my bad accuracy I went back to where they said they were. Mike came in on my 6 really close. I slowed down and heard no plane, saw no plane, nothing... so I told him to shoot at me, and again saw no tracers, but felt and heard every hit. I again exploded in mid air and Mike was the only one to shoot me.

After the flights I looked at who killed me and it just had - that was it, didn't have a name... like I crashed with out getting hits. But I obviously blew up in mid air. Mike also did not get the kill credit on my 39 either.

We put in a .report but felt I needed to put it on here too.

I really wonder why the Fw over the town rendered but neither MikeD nor Osprey ever did for me. They could see each other fine and see me fine of course. They also saw the other players over town that I mentioned.

so far in my experience when the ghosting happens if you can see someone else, he is also ghosting.

well, than if that is the case than this is something that needs to be watched as It's hard to tell if it is isolated. If you are flying a lone and see many people, who is to say they can see you.

This could be a huge problem whether or not it occurs frequently.

I had no indication I was a "ghost" until after I was shot down, I could have played for quite a while and if I was not on TS I could have just thought I was killed by flack, or a fast moving aircraft.

Keep these pouring in guys. We think we nailed this one but it is tough to reproduce.

Is the clone effect working yet, I can get another aircraft or 2 up when i spawn my aircraft in ,, but they just sit there when i take off.. after a couple minutes one of the clones is about 200 feet in air above airfield..

I can fly through the one that is off the ground just like when 2 folks spawn in at same time you can taxi through the other aircraft..

Maybe its not ready yet?..
