Infantry idea

Is it possible to have infantry that is not moving to slowly fade into the terrain pattern? I'm thinking of cover/concealment. One thing that jumps out right now is that hurts the infantry badly -- especially with the uber-optics on AFVs.

Examples:

Infantry in scrub has their nice bright face show up in the trees while an AFV scans the area. Dead infantry.

The moving leaves in 1.30 gave at least some concealment to slight movement in the brush from catching the eye at distance, but that 1 "pale face" pixel would still catch. Can the face become the color of the leaves on the shrub if you stay in the same spot for a while?

Now, in terms of buildings, there aren't any shadows! Myself and an opposing sniper were both set back in buildings but we still could see each other as though we had a spotlight shining on us from the front. There isn't anyway to "hide" as infantry. For example, if i'm set back from a window in the attic of a building, I should become darker so i'm not seen by the quick 232 scanning the windows at max turret rotation.

The concussion "bug" at Remagen was great for simulating the effects of suppressive fire. Before being informed it was a bug, I thought my possition was under MG fire and thought "wow, this makes suppressive fire worthwhile!" That is, until I realized it was visual from my perspective but didn't change my aim. I had my rifle locked down on a window..could still shoot and kill. The concussion should also jerk your sights around like breathing does.

Good idea - and you're right about the shadows / being hard to hide as infantry. I miss the moving foliage, even though it didn't move much, it was nice to have and enhanced the immersion.
