This goes back to this topic.

I tested this yet again after Doc Post thinking I messed something up.

My test come back still broke (again) So can someone else Please confirm this.

Take a tiger tank and fire at the passenger side track of the M10 Park your M10 on angle so you hit the track from in to out so you don't kill crew members.

When that track comes off you should get kill credit award. Or at least I do which is wrong.

I tried to fraps this from both point of views but my 2nd pc din't Like the Beta, Din't like the key mapper, and all the fraps came out corrupt Pretty much every thing went wrong, so the shooter point of view din't come out.

Track damage is two fold. Damaging the track but not the underlying suspension/drive-wheel/idler sprocket will not contribute to a kill, even if you nail both sides. Damaging the track AND the underlying suspension/drive-wheel/idler-sprocket will, if you do this on both sides, award a kill.

We tested this internally with a debug client, and online with 2 players using release (non debug) clients, and found no bug related to this functionality.

I suspect you ARE seeing a kill because you ARE damaging a crew member, as the hull is very thin there where you are hitting and the tracks/wheels will not stop the shell from passing into the hull by themselves. When we tested this crew (driver usually) were killed making the shooter think the track hit was the reason the kill was awarded.

When we debug tested this with NO crew death, a single track hit would not award a kill.

We took your report, investigated it both internally with debugging and online with standard release clients, and it passed all tests.

I tried to double check for you odds but couldn't not get a kill with the Tiger by hitting the crew. I'll keep an eye out for more reports on this but sounds like DOC's gone through it pretty thoroughly.

Still, like to figure out why you are getting these oddities.
