My system:

-XP professional - Service Pack 3

-Pentium 4 - CPU 3.80 Ghz

-2.00 GB of RAM

During Login splash screen I get this warning:

Bad Minimum Spec

You must have shader model 1.2 or greater. Your system does not meet the mimimum specs. You may experience degraded performance or crashes. Continue?

Under performance tab I changed settings to "Best Performance" otherwise I get a white screen on log in. The game now logs in, I spawn and then seconds later I get this error:

Microsoft Visuall C++ Runtime Library. Runtime Error!

Program: C:/Progra~1\CRS\Battle - yada yada yada

abnormal program termination

Anyone else getting this or does my system not meet specs to play. I played the prior version flawlessly.

You answered your own question. No it doesn't meet min specs, otherwise it wouldn't show that message. While that doesn't necessarily mean the game won't run, it most likely won't be enjoyable and if it doesn't run, people will just say you need to upgrade.

since you only have 2g of RAM, have you selected the '2 gigs or less' option in the preferences?

For those who tried to help...my video card is:

2X Nvidia GeForce 7900 GS SLI enabled - 256 each

I missed the graphic cards specs. Does the above qualify? I am trying to figure out what exactly I am short on. Thanks for the help.

A 7900gs is going to struggle tbh, but you should be able to play at least.

Check you have the latest drivers for everything and make sure your BIOS is the latest revision is what I'd suggest.

The game also doesn't use SLI so try disabling that or even removing one of the cards physically to see if that helps.

Remove one vid card and have a look if that helps.

Thanks for those with helpful suggestions. I updated all video drivers and it works great. Pretty smooth video and no issues yet. I have set all my preferences to performance so I miss some of the nuance but its better than being locked out.

Again thanks to those who helped!
