Aparently NV 7900GTX cards don't like the newest driver update.

Anyone want a gold account?

i had a 7xxx series card that crapped out completely on one of their driver updates, just utterly destroyed the card somehow... couldnt revert to an old driver or anything it was just toasted by the update.

but yeah you should be able to get a new workable card without breaking the bank, i had a 9600 GSO that worked well and i think it was $60 maybe?

here u go:

i think mine was an XFX but, same difference

Christ, I can't stand this kind knee jerk whining given that CRS published the new minimum spec requirments months ago along with the fact that players had plenty of opportunity to participate in the open betas to gauge how their machine would hold up with the new demands.

Be a proud Arizonan and upgrade your machine. If you can't do that then run at a lower resolution with all the bells and whistles turned off.

I'm using drivers from 4 or 5 updates ago. I don't update unless I see something that applies to me won't work

How do I get around the shader issue then?

Not sure I fully understand the question BUT your video card either supports or does not support the required shader version.

The only way around that is having a video card that supports the shader version.

If you need help on selecting an upgrade option I am happy to help.
