possible bug- tank rounds going through armor targets

Its an odd thing but ive noticed a lot during the beta and here that when using M10 (dont know about other tanks), firing on an ET from a raised position will often have the shells just go through the enemy armor and hit the ground under it doing no damage.

I know that you may hit a tank and not damage it but in this case its strange because you dont see the 'hit' sprite or penetration impact hit and the HE in the shells (if HE round) doesnt detonate.. it just goes through the tank and hits the ground.

Just now in liege, I was firing on a StuG from a high hill , less than 700m distance, flank shot, aimed for the rear burn spot.. first 3 shells just went through the tank and into the ground. 4th shell actually animated the penetration mark (hitting the same spot) and killed it.

In Ciney during beta, firing from the E hill overlooking the E AB exit, I also had lots of cases where the round I was firing would just go through the et (in this case a 4g) and hit the AB wall behind it.. you could see the AB wall getting hit by the round. behind and beneath the 4g.. and the 4g was just 5m or so from the wall (another tank wouldnt have been able to squeeze through).

I'm not able to replicate this but I have seen some reports of oddities with hit sprites. Nothing about rounds going through. I'll keep an eye out for more reports. If you can give me anything more to go on I'll keep testing.

I've had this too. I was in a Stu, firing HE at the side back wheel area of a StuG III G at very close range (<100m). The HE did not detonate, and I'm not sure if any damage was scored. No problem noticed with AP.
