Its simple for some reason when your engine gets shot/overheat and displays in red aka broken your vehicle will explode in about 30 sec to 1 minute even tho your oponent has despawned or you are not geting shot anymore is this a bug ?

Also does anyone feel like testing and documenting this ? The other think i would like to test is m4a2 guner survivability when shot by stugG as close as 200 meters in the turret frontal !

I think the new damagemodel contains some delayed explosions, which is both cool and realistic. Think of it as an shell causing fire in the engine room,, which then spreads and causes a atal explosion- much like we have it with planes.

Its pretty cool to see an enemy tank take a hit, then drive a bit on, then to explode.

Sniped a Laffy TD yesterday. One bullet at the driver and the whole thing went kaboom.

Go test it.

Anything else is useless speculation.

Now that is speculation.

It does not happen to a 232. Here you get the effect that the Rats have stated earlier.

If you got an engine kill the tank will explode on despawn.

I think its far too early to conclude, which is why I added "I think".

So yes, its all speculation at this point, i.e. go test.

I've been placing my satchels on the engine blocks of Allied and Axis armour during this intermission and all of them have blown up my targeted ET.

If you place a satchel on the engine block it blows up. Upon first laying the satchel it seems like the satchel explosion has little to no effect at first. Yet, after what appears to be a couple seconds or so, the targeted ET's engine block starts to smolder and then catches fire before ultimately blowing up the ET/rewarding you with a kill.

I thoroughly enjoy the new armour damage models. :D

I've noticed a couple things.

- The Rats made it so vehicles will sometimes hulk when critical damage is taken.

- In instances while flying, I took critical damage to a component. I hit escape to despawn and instantly my plane exploded on several occasions.

This could be the same with ground units, but I haven't been killed nearly as many times on ground without taking critical damage before despawning anyway.
