1.31.0 No More mini-compass #4294

Pre 1.31 the mini-map could be switched to mini-compass.

Now mini-map stays as mini-map.

A couple of my buddies prefer the mini-compass over the mini-map, and gripped endlessly about the lost ability.

I actually liked that mini compass myself. Would be nice to still use it instead of the mini map.

i liked the old minimap more too. took up only a fraction as much space. would be nice to have an option to use it instead. the compass was also great for flying.

and while you at it, bring back the old stamina+compass+healthbar+posture image HUD from the 2002 era.

Agree, really miss the compass. I don't mind opening the map for initial bearings. Would love to just have a small one in the corner to use as reference.

I still run 1024x768 and the minimap just takes far too much space.

I wish there were a compass so that I don't need to take my map up to tell directions.
