Sorry if already posted (I did look)

If you are using W (with or without shift) to run (or D, S, A)

And you press M to look at the map

You will flip into auto-run

That's fine while actually continuing to read the map, but a bit surprising when you close the map and you keep on running without holding down W (especially when you run face to face into Gerry!)

No big deal, now I know I make sure I press W again.

Cheers.

I personally hope this is an intended feature... now I can flip in and out of the map and keep running even after the map is closed.

This is a good thing for me as I can press any key to stop if I wish.

It is intended but I agree it is odd. The point wad though that it would suck to have to hold down w when you went map modal. And it could be too much work to be running and have to hit auto run before you bring up the map.

We could have remembered wether you were w running or g running when you brought it up but jeesh....

Instead we decided that if you were moving when you brought up the map you wanted to still be running with it up and if you dropped it you could stop running very easily.
