I'm getting frequent CTHLs. Usually, the screen freezes but the ingame sound keeps running. I alt-tab out, and when the game sound stops, I alt-tab back into Battleground Europe, and i get a CTHL message after I alt-tab back in.

I've already changed my sound option to run software emulation instead of hardware, and I've turned off music completely (there seemed to be an issue where my game would freeze when I spawned out - it may be related to the onboard RealTek Audio on my computer).

Hope this is fixed soon, because it's not very playable for me at this rate.

I can help with the log files if need be ... just tell me which log files to grab info from.

Connection To Host Lost has no interaction with the sound code. Your client has quit communicating with the host and has decided to shut down so that you don;t destroy other's game play with warping or other oddities.

Need to diagnose why that is.

I have just bought a new laptop

I am experiencing similar, No matter what settings i change/edit.

I login the game, works FINE on training server.

I head to campaign it's good, it's fine up to reserving a unit, where i reserve a unit, click enter world, and then it just closes my window with WW2OL open.

I re-open WW2OL, login etc, and the games locked

Been having trouble for quite a while getting in.

Hi, it did it again today. I spawned in, the game kind of "freezes," and then my hard drive is spinning non stop, until I get a CTHL.

I get this issue usually on spawn out, and sometimes on spawn in. It also sometimes occurs a little after I spawn in.

This is really weird, since I never had this issue in 1.29.

What log files should I post and where can I find the log file information to help CRS track this issue?

In a nutshell, I am running:

Windows Vista

Q6600 Quad Core

3 Gigs Ram

Nvidia 8800 GTX

I checked the option for under 2 Gigs of RAM, although I have 3 Gigs of RAM. That seemed to help the churning of the hard disk upon a CTHL. The hard disk churning upon a CTHL is very annoying because my computer grinds to a halt and I can barely alt-tab out to shut down WWIIOnline.

However, I was just playing right now, and I was 5 minutes into my mission, and I got a CTHL in the middle of my mission. I also got another CHTL earlier when I died.

I'm getting very frequent CTHLs for 1.31. This is pretty weird since 1.29 was very stable for me and from my memory, the few versions prior to 1.29 were also stable for me. I'm using the same computer since the summer of 2007 and all the versions from the summer of 2007 up to 1.29 were all stable for me and CTHL rarely occurred.

I and a few of my squad mates (UK based) are getting connection issues a lot now in 1.31. Happened on Sunday night 2 or 3 times to me, didn't get as far as CTHL, just gets stuck at mission results pending, I exit and have to come back in twice. A couple of others get connection to chat host lost etc. Different areas of the country and, as far as I know, different ISPs.

CTHL is a pop up or chat message that says "Connection to host lost". Are you getting these? These sound like CTD.

Not leaving it long enough I don't think, so not getting the actual cthl message. It gets as far as mission results pending and I just alt f4, the game does not ctd, it just sits there being unresponsive, I can click around and hear the button clicks (like when you click on the X to exit), but nothing happens. Next time I'll leave it and see if any messages come up or it crashes.

For some reason, I didn't get a single CTHL tonight.

Whatever you guys did at CRS, the game had a consistent connection tonight. Hope the stable connection continues.

Unless that's the new patch it isn;t us Gadwin. Are you using a wireless connection? If so try a hard wire for a night and see if it improves.

The MRP bug is a different issue.

Me too in 1.31, using a good new quadcore, win7 and 8Gb RAM.

Lots of connection issues, not playable at all. Getting the CTHL popup every time after a few min. Chat works after CTHL. Also from EU.

Did you guys change/update something on the server during update ?

Log in game push a 88 out bomb drops and i despawn into a stat pending and a double ctd.

I get connection to host lost eveytime I alt tab out of the game for too long.

It is infuriating. I can't read anything like the OKAHQ stuff while alt tabbed or I'll end up despawning.

Between that, and the constant CTD's/Mission results pending, I'm forced to restart the game half a dozen times a night.

That means you're not even connecting to your ISP.

If you're on wireless, try wired.

In preferences, Set Visible Player Limit to Low.

Enable NetCode2 if not enabled.

To run a traceroute to our network, follow the steps below (these don't go to the game servers, but are close and on our providers' networks and should be indicative of the connection you should get to them).

* Start -> Run -> "cmd" -> Enter

* Enter "tracert -d 66.28.6.226"

* Let it run until it completes

* Enter "tracert -d 204.70.193.9"

* Let it run until it completes

* Right click the window and click Select All

* Open an email window, right click and select Paste (or press Control+V)
