HELP - CH JS and control manager issues

Has anyone with CH products found a way to get 1.31 to recognize the HOTAS in mapped mode without mapping every button and hat in CH control manager?

i have a few critical macros mapped (so need to be in mapped mode) but prefer to use the ingame keymapper for everything else due to massive time savings.

My CH set works in mapped mode.

In Windows 7, I had to set all the CH sticks as "preferred" by the OS in the control panel.

After clicking through all the sticks, I re-set my fighterstick as preferred.

After the click-around the game recognized the sticks, only controllers 2/3 were swapped, but a quick remap in game fixed this.

I can now map keys to my triggers and POV hats or just map the joystick buttons to in-game functions in game keymapper.

During the beta I struggled with this problem and found the click-around :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Umm. Had a few problems.

Mostly that if I change any of the USB ports around [unplug something and plug it in again later] that the combining of controllers under the map doesn't work.

Up until now I've had to unplug them all. Uninstall CH manager. Reinstall manager. Plug devices back in. Run the map.

That said, I had the same problem yesterday... nad managed to fix it by using the CH Control panel... click off, then direct, then mapped. Then downloaded the map from CH manager fresh.... dunno what happened in there but it worked.

Best way to avoid problems... don't unplug your controllers... and be prepared for a quick CH manager uninstall/reinstall if you do.

yup.

If you change USB ports you must

1) Uninstall the CH software.

2) Unplug all your game controllers

3) Reinstall the CH software

4) Plug in your game controllers.

If you don't do this CH won't detect your new usb settings. Yes it's a pain.

I always remember to replace my usbs exactly where I had them to avoid this.
