Capture points system

The current system sees all players who are there at the end of the cap get the points. Is this a new feature or something that is not worth worrying about?

Its certainly helping those involved in the cap rank up faster than usual and gets the PB focused on capping.

I think first person in (or longest time on cap) should get 20, everyone else 5, just like the old way.

I don't care, anymore, because I don't need the points.

And allowing noobs to rank up faster (much faster) may well be a good thing.

However:

I was defending a depot (inside)

Attacker came in

Went into the next room and killed him

Got 13 points for the killing

Got twenty points for the 1% back that the attacker had managed to cap.

Maybe it would be too difficult/time-consuming, but I think it would be better if you received the % of the total that you contributed to. So, 10% of 20 (2 points) for less than a 10% recap?

The same could apply for multiple people on a cap ... If you are only there for the last 10%, then you only get 10% of the total possible points?

Noobs would often ask: "What is the fast way to rank up?" and - while we'd all have our own little favourite - the answer was always "kill stuff".

Now the answer is, guard a depot (in a busy town).

Like I say, I don't care really ... but this feels like back to the (very) old days, where we got points simply for not-dying for ten minutes.

Cheers.
