Map taking a long time to load

Ever since 1.31 came out when i am in flight and press the map button it loads really slowly, the whole map just stays white squares, the only way i can get it to load completely is by scrolling over the entire map.It always happens the first time i press the map button and stays that way until i look at the whole map,also while the map is all white i drop 30 or so fps and start to lag really bad.

Was just curious to see if anyone else was having this problem or if it's just a issue on my end.

I have not experienced this, I have experienced something a bit similar. That is, the game seems to pause before spawning me in, I click enter, and it seems to take a couple seconds longer than in 1.30; Note too big a deal, but noticeable.

Processor-AMD Athlon II X2 250 3.0 GHz

Video-NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 1GB

OS- Windows 7 64-bit

RAM-4GB

I play on balanced settings atm and average 100 fps, the map is the only part of the game that gives me trouble(lags me out) as odd as that sounds.

Weird. i have exact system here and will try and test it out. I've never seen this before though there have been reports of the "white map".
