Possible to "enable" chat radio channels while still not enable chat input textbox

I've unlucky enough to have the habit of transmitting text chat messages in BE on multiple channels at the same time. I usually hit all of the F-keys I want to transmit on at the same time. Usually this is F1+F2.

The problem is that if I hit two or more F-buttons at the same time, 9 times out of 10 the chat ends up in some kind of no mans land. The radio labels lights up as usual but the text input bar does not activate. The result is that I cant press ESC to end chat mode and I can't type any message. And if I press the same F-keys again I just turn the same channels OFF but now I also enables the chat text box for input.

Its very annoying because what happens is that I hit F1+F2 at the same time almost every time I want to chat (mission+target) but the textbox input does not enable and when I start typing my message I start activating whatever bind I have on my regular letter keys. Like dropping gear while flying, turning engine off, opening canopy, opening map, dropping flaps and so on.

I also end up transmitting a lot of stuff in area chat when in a hurry as I first press F1+F2 and then see how this bug triggers, then I quickly press F1+F2 again and text input activates. I type my message and press enter. But now I only transmit in area as my last F1+F2 press turned OFF the radio channels I wanted to transmit on.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit and got a Logitech G11 keyboard.

I could get this to happen on about 1 in 100 tries. I can see that getting ti all the time would be annoying but not sure we can doa nything about that without overhauling the input method (which I hate for a million other reasons). Short term I can suggest hitting enter before enabling the channels however then you are talking to your self all the time as well.
