I though you was a Rat.. :)

Nah, I was just speaking for myself. I don't speak for the Rats. I leave that to people with caps. :)

OK' date=' maybe you have a point. I think I'm just bitter about a few campaigns back where I got picked off a few times in a row and realized they were on top of the blown out city RR :)[/quote']

Which Ive been killed on , there all good positions but not safe. I was on reims cathedral

and a teammate landed mortars right next to me for laughs. And another time a ei spawned

a plane and got me. Roofs are not a safe spot if someone smart fiqures it out.

Its a bug, has to be...101st has done jump after jump and someone constantly has this happen and there is no "killed by". we had a para jump of like 25 guys and 10 of them died in the air and fell. i did start to notice tho that it only happened when another para touched my chute...feature or bug?

Only tried a couple of the smaller houses, and you can walk on them without instant death.

Mybe intended, like the your inside enemy spawn, shooting disabled.

The problem is, when you're located there is not much the enemy can really do to take you out. I know you're good rifleman, but if you rely on a location that you KNOW can't be accessed by the enemy it's lame.

EDIT: If/when we get destroyable buildings (not just a few states), I mean ATG/Armor shells can continue to reduce buildings (and any ei ontop/inside) to rubble, then you may have a better arguement.

I don't care how high or how obscured a roof is...

if they know your up there your dead within a very short time

grenades, rifles, and mortars...let alone using a tank or other big gun and just blasting means your not going to live on the roof.

there is NO COVER on a roof...

roof sniping only works untill they get spotted...and it's really easy to spot btw

was one of the very few perks of being a para...it's sad if it's no longer in game

As for the actual issue, it looks like you hit the collider where the roof of the old city blocks used to be, thus removing your parachute, then you fall the rest of the way to the ground with the ovious result, SPLAT!

Had it happen a couple of times in Metz. If you missed the footprint of where the old buildings where, you landed normal on the street. Basicaly appears to be a collider issue with some of the replacement city blocks.

On second thought , it happened to me in gouvy ,and it never had the old large building.

Did you appear to stop whilst falling, you parachute disappear then fall the rest of the way, or did you just die in the air?

Can't off the top of my head remember what buildings where/are in Gouvy, thus wether any of them where replaced in 1.31

Would be great if we could narrow this down and thus make it easier for the Rats to track it down.

I would sticky this and ask if other people are having the issue but damn can you guys get off topic quick. I'll start a new thread. Please cross post that video if you can.
