New 110c4 frame damage model...

...Or new bullets penetration on it? What would be interesting, its to know what VALUES were modified, for ME110c4, or bullets effects on it, ingame...in 1.31. Suddenly, i take a Me110c4, and its as fragile as a clay duck...??? Only 0.5 sec of any ammo (FMBs, hawks...) and wing is off, or plane explodes...?!

Any new historical values were found? We had wrong values since 110c4 was modeled in WWIIOL ?

is it possible to keep players informed? Its really a pain when u suddenly discover ur plane is still a flying whale, but now armor seems removed...

we didn't change it so there is nothing to inform you of

if you're reporting a bug then I'll test it out but it wasn't changed by any deliberate action here, we'll check it for bugs but we don't anticipate any

I've stopped flying it altogether for the time being. I love the guns, but I lack the requisite skills to avoid getting insta flammed or getting guns on a much more maneuverable target - even from higher alt. Probably more viable for a twit like me in a (normal) tier 0 situation where the closure rate of ea isn't quite what it is right now.

Thanks Doc : I flew that 110 hundreds of times, and i really found differences. Before 1.31, that fat bird could bear damages on wings, even lose an engine, even two, or dark smoke (+ engine off) on one/both, with damages on crew : now its one shot (a burst of anything, bullets included, not necessarly cannon) and BOOM.

I know we got bullets aces in Allied side, but this plane really seems to explode very easily now... especially wings : We could return home with C4, with one engine off, but now these same wings are off (or exploding) very very easily.

its no whining, its something many of us are noticed now. Thanks for answer.

actually any critical engine/fuel/wing damage that would trigger a fire means when you try to despawn, you do go boom

you aren't misreading that change are you ?

It blows up easy. The cpl times I took it it popped like a kernel of popcorn. The two times I blows up, all was left was a hulk hanging in the air. The LW should ground em.

Audi is right : Seems any damage is critical now... i mean its like if enemy ammo was made of depleted uranium... A very lil' burst (far less than 1 sec) and BOOM.

What puzzles me is how can you tell how long the burst is from your side?

I've fired with both bofors and mle38 and had multiple hits on 110's just to see them fly away like nothing happend.

And as tigger6 says, how can you be sure about the lenght of the bursts?

During a crowded skies battle, i got shot down 3 times in 20 min : I had headset/max sounds settings when i heard these bullets/cannon landing on frame +boom/wing off : Each time it was = or less than 1 sec. I agree that very specific frame spots, with perfect .conv, may blow that plane using less than a second burst...But atm 110c4 has a sploding/boomwing/wingoff reaction rate extremely high imo.

recognized same with 110 ... easy to rip apart

but also experienced that my 111 goes down ultra-fast... in most cases i instantly blow up (no EA that rammed me)

flak hits on a 111 are mostly deadly now. quite a lot of times when i got hit... i lost a wing... even with only 1 hit. and i used the 111 a lot already in past campaigns... it was never this bad

same issue on he111, like bronco said.

actually u can remove gunner crew from planes ...

i experienced it now for more then one time that ill switch to gunner pos (111 or 110 is nearly no difference), see ea on my 6 but too far away yet, i drop my bombs, switch back to gunner pos, see that ea is in range to fire any moment, try to unlock my pos4 on he111, in the time of unlock ea fires first tracers and next i see is me going down like a exploded new years rocket ... not only happened once

I thought so... as the target, you have no idea how did the enemy hit you. It is in fact very likely that the burst that you heard hitting you didn't hit you at all, but completely different bullets that you saw miss you hit you. You cannot make *any* assumptions based on your observation, unless you are the shooter.
