CRS ..Enough with the damn M5 flipping!

Dam.... nothing like going on a 30 min tow and flip just as you reach target.

I REALLY doubt the M5 flipped as easily as it does in game.... my last example is flipping due to driving over train tracks in the MIDDLE of the SW bridge to liege.....

Can we please get the "Flip Feature" tweaked a bit CRS?

I have flipped them simply pushing across flat ground.

If I tow out 5 guys at least 3 of them are going to flip at some point if they try to move after they unhitch.

In before the lock or move

I just wish the lightweight stuff (or all stuff for that matter) wouldn't act like they were rolling on the surface of the moon. I've seen far to many flipped Pannys and 232s and rolled ATGs because of that.

Dude, I got flipped an as 88 being towed. Took at least 8 screeneis of it, funny as hell. Told my driver I flipped and he said, "WHAT!?"

The reason I didnt post this in BUG REPORTING is that I have been told this is a ...ahem.... "Feature".

And does it REALLY belong in the motorpool.... no.... ATGs dont set off armor EWS do they? They dont have a motor, and any artillery unit is considered to be a part of an infantry unit.

But anyway..... the M5 flipping is just plain stupid.... an 88 I can understand being as all the weight is distributed at the TOP and its center of gravity is about 8 ft in the air higher than a M5, with what appears to be a fairly small wheelbase.

You would think a BOFORs would flip REAL easy...but doesnt.

Totally agree....and now with the berms they way they are (very steep and hidden very well by bushes) I spend more time on the top of my panny than on the wheels :D

232's were already rediculously easy to flip as well.

i think for ATGs atleast, not pannys or 232s, there should be an ability to unflip. I'm thinking that in real life that a crew of anti-tank gunners would be able to flip over their own gun.

It appears to be a LOT more stable in the latest beta release, whether by design I don't know.

I was running around at top speed and jumping/driving over berms at Schilde in a laffly earlier and the M5 being towed was solid as a rock.

Seems to act a bit better around berms and trees as well, in live I was 'sticking' to trees and bouncing all over the place yesterday, couldn't get it to happen in beta (still a bit of movement though).

I rolled the laffly at one point and the gun remained upright. The laffly actually righted itself after a while as well, but I think that was just the 'jumping' around vehicles do when they go on their side.

I've flipped twice as an atg TODAY and was going to post a thread on it as well.

Please fix. Makes you want to log off when you sit there and wait as you are towed all the way to target only to have to despawn and waste the unit.

It HAS made me log off ....more than once.

And I do NOT accept the notion (that I have heard from nore than one truck drive) that we should NOT even bother taking M5's. The M5 is one of the best pieces of Arty to engage the higher tier tanks from a safe distance...

Its bad modeling- simple as that. There is no reason the m5 flips insanely easy while the other guns dont.

Its nothing but pure annoyance, and should be fixed like CRS fixed the 17pdr moving like a boat.

If they cant fix the m5, add some kind of "flip" botton that will allow all guns flipped to setup.

Now that the m5 has become a viable spawn (after aphe was added), it needs to be fixed. In the old days, noone cared, because the gun sucked so much it was hardly worth spawning, but now when nit kills stuff, it needs to be fixed.

It hasn't made me log off but I have gave up trying to spawn a M5 choosing to go with the lower tier gun to avoid wasting my game time with a flipped over ATG.

Personally, I experience too many flips playing the game, and I suggest the M5 gets its own special set of training wheels, which can extend its height weight ratio by moving invisible wheels further to the sides for stability, who is going to know? Fix it already!! Why not add a freighter crane to the laffy? Nobody uses the Navy according to many in high places.. the artwork for the crane is there, make it fit the laffy..

DOC's going to ,look at the M5 specifically but I think there is something global going on. Maybe with the bump coefficient in the terrain.
